These wonderful Sweater sets were attributed as being Made by Steiff,
but actually, they were Not..... But were worn by early Steiff Teddy bears
starting around the early part of 1906. They were actually made by
a Germany Doll company. Over the years, many have
just assumed Steiff produced them and they
have since been stated as "Steiff Sweaters or Sets."
No matter, as they look so yummy when worn by an old
Steiff Teddy Bear and why not, they fit them perfectly.
This 3 piece Set consists of the Sweater, Pants and Hat (these are
rarer to find then the sweater anymore) and fit a teddy between the
sizes of 10" to 13". This set is in very good condition. No rips or
tears, one tiny spot on sweater (hardly noticeable), pants
are great but missing string around waist (this would be an
easy fix) and of course, the hat in also very good condition.
This one is the White with Red Trim around neck.
Have a cold teddy? Or just need one to look
